MountainWings A MountainWings Moment
#10075 Wings Over The Mountains of Life

The Poem
=======
When my children were younger (they are grown with children
now), I wrote a small poem for them to remember that God
watches them and cares for them always. It was short so that
they could remember it and say it whenever they needed help.
Here it is:
God sent His angels from above
To wrap us in His wings of Love
And keep us in His Loving care
And know that He is always there

My children learned this poem, and my youngest (now 25) still
uses it. I was in the store about two weeks ago when I heard a
small child's voice clearly repeating my poem over and over.
I followed the sound and came across a child of around four
sitting in the aisle crying and repeating the poem. I slowly
knelt down and asked the child "Are you lost?" and with a
small smile the child said "Yes." I reached for the child's
hand and said "I wrote that poem for my boys a long time ago,
where did you learn it?" The little boy looked up at me and
said the most incredible thing, "I don't know."
This is when I had my "MountainWings Moment." I realized that
maybe I didn't "hear" the poem at all, at least not from the
child. I believe that the message was sent, so that I could
help the child find his parents.
I took the boy to the front of the store, holding his hand and
waiting. Momentarily a woman came running back into the store.
She was the child's caregiver and had forgotten that he was
with her that day. She was overcome with fright until she saw
him holding my hand. I smiled and handed him over to her and
she asked me, "Who are you?" and then "THANK GOD!"
The boy turned to her and said this is my angel. I started to
cry and kissed his head, turned away and continued my
shopping, knowing that I was just an instrument; but oh, how
glad I was to be one.
