It Wasn't Right
==========

Surely it wasn't right for an 11-year-old child to weigh more than
his mother.

I was with my oldest son at the doctor's office for his annual
checkup. He stepped onto the scale and I realized that he weighed
more than I did. In addition, the doctor tested his blood to check
his cholesterol level and ran some other tests.

His cholesterol level was high.

He had high cholesterol and he was overweight. Whose fault was
that? MINE!! Who has high cholesterol as a pre-teen? It was like a
light-bulb went off in my head. I knew I had to do something to
change his current path or he was headed for serious health issues.

Three months later, my son had shed nineteen pounds, lowered his
cholesterol level, and finally felt good about his body. It's been
almost three years, and he's kept the weight off, and his body is
in perfect proportion to his age. People actually don't believe
that it's the same child when they see his before pictures. He is
so much happier, and it's amazing to see how he lights up when
people compliment him.

~Excerpted from the book, "Slimdown for Kids - How To Help Your
Child Lose Weight at http://hitbooks.com/slimdown.html~

From The Mountain:
If you have or know someone who has a child who is challenged with
weight, they need to read Slimdown For Kids. Slimdown For Kids is
for the mother, not the child. The major side effect is that when
mothers read Slimdown For Kids to help their child, mama ends up
skinnier. The book is fully guaranteed by the publisher. If you
don't think that it's worth the money, send it back and they will
refund your money (including postage).

The time to help our kids is now.
