The Horse
=======

This is a true story, and I thought it was a MountainWings
Moment.

When my daughter, Jade Kay, was very young, she wanted a horse
in the worst way.

There was no way we could manage to get her one, and I told her
so. She responded by telling me that Jesus could manage
anything and she was going to ask Him for a horse.

I fretted over her young faith taking a body blow when she
realized her prayer was unanswered.

I should have had more faith. She got up the next morning and
announced that she had asked Jesus to give her a horse.

"Did you darling?" I said, trying to find the right words to
explain that we didn't always get what we prayed for.

"Yes," she said, "but He said no."

She never brought up the subject of a horse again.
