Best Friends
========

You never know where your best friend will come from.

I am now 17 years into my second marriage. When I met my wife
Martha, I shortly thereafter met her ex-husband Frank, the
father of her children. Needless to say, we didn't hit it off
at first. Then, slowly and methodically, the Lord turned the
situations to where we had to get along.

We both had some trouble and were on probation at the same
time. Then his mom died, and shortly after that my youngest
brother died. At the that time, Frank was the only preacher I
knew.

I had to humble myself and ask him to preach at my brother's
funeral. He accepted and was a blessing to my family and me
through the whole ordeal. Afterwards, he invited me to church.
Two years later, I was saved in that very church.

He has been a friend and spiritual guide ever since and I
thank God for him every day. On August 5th, 2001 I surrendered
to preach the gospel and Frank was one of the first to welcome
and congratulate me.
