Ignorant Questionings
==============

I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you.

You ask,
"Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?"

It is I. And I was talking about things I did not understand,
things far too wonderful for me.

You said, "Listen and I will speak! I have some questions for
you, and you must answer them." I had heard about you before,
but now I have seen you with my own eyes.

I take back everything I said,
and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance.
(Job 42:2-6 NLT)

The above is the first paragraph of the last chapter (Chapter 42)
of the book of Job in the Bible as Job is speaking to God.

Job had gone through tremendous loss. His ten children were
killed and he lost his business, money, and reputation.
On top of all of that his skin was covered in horrible and
painful boils.

He had super family loss, super monetary loss, and he was sick
with a disease that made everyone who saw him cringe. He had
big problems in all of the major areas of life. Yet, in the midst
of all of this, when God finally spoke, Job understood that he
didn't understand the true wonder of the workings of God.

He realized he needed to ask God to forgive him for his ignorant
questionings.

I now ask God to forgive me for my ignorant questionings just
because some things are unpleasant and painful.

As the parent listens to the children crying

...so are we heard by a far greater wisdom.
