#9303              Wings Over The Mountains of Life

Can You See My Point?
===============

She had been listening online for months but Sunday there she
was, sitting on the front row. That's not anything particularly
unusual that a person who listens online or reads MountainWings
attends a live service. Mr. Peterson from Denmark showed up
last Sunday and said he'd been reading MountainWings for years
and wanted to visit.

So it wasn't particularly unusual for an online partaker to
attend. What was unusual was that she was blind.

When she came up to me after church I mentioned to her that our
monthly God Heals service at GodHeals.net was taking place that
night. She said the she was born blind and that she believed
God made her that way. Below is the letter that she sent.

Read it and perhaps it will open your eyes.

Good morning Pastor Bronner,

First of all I would like to say that I truly enjoyed the
service on Sunday, and would love to be a member of The Ark.

As I mentioned, I have been listening to sermons from
AirJesus.com for quite a while now and God has been pulling me
toward your church.

I have no idea what I am supposed to do, only that I am
supposed to be there; so, here I am.

One thing I would like to say is, I apologize to you if I
sounded abrupt when you mentioned the healing ceremony. That
was not my intent. I believe that each and every one of us has
a divine purpose in life. My blindness was no accident. When I
think of my blindness, to me it is a mere nuisance and it is a
characteristic of my being.

There are people who are short, tall, fat, skinny, blond,
brunette and so on. Those are characteristics of the person.

I can't change that and neither can they.

I would like to do a sensitivity awareness workshop at your
church to enlighten people and to let them know that it is okay
to be blind.

Oftentimes what you may want for me, (and I'm not speaking of
you alone), God may not.

True, there was healing in the Bible and I believe that.
However, I have become content in the state that I am in and I
do well.

I own my own home, I work, and I am married. Those are
achievements that everyone, whether they have a disability or
not, should strive toward.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk with you, and I
look forward to the opportunity to serve at The Ark of Salvation.
