When life gets tough
As it often will
When things are rough

You try to rise
But you've got an ache
You try to sleep
But you lie awake

You try to rest
But the day seems dreary
So on you trod
Worn and weary

When the skies are gray
And clouds abound
No warmth of the sun
Only rain on the ground

Your bank accounts low
Your credit cards high
Can't get ahead
Your hope runs dry

It's time like these
Times we all face
Our breath comes short
Lord where is the grace?

Sure there's sun above these clouds
High above exists no shrouds
There's joy above the lowly pain
Problem is you've got no plane

The Lord's grace

Without clouds there'd be no rain

From the grain comes our daily bread
