Prepare to Fly - Let MountainWings.com help lift YOU over the Mountains of Life

Comments from Subscribers:

Had to let you and your staff know how much I enjoy your newsletter.  My Mom forwarded me MountainWings nearly every day.  It was also the last e-mail she sent me before she passed away in December.  I've been busy with "Spring Things," yard work, etc., and haven't turned a computer on in a week or so.  As I cramped my finger on the delete key to rid mailbox of the junk, I stopped to read, "Daddy's gonna eat your fingers!"  I laughed so hard I had to go pee.
I came to this conclusion, not only is MountainWings good for your soul, but it's good for your kidney's too!    God Bless you all.  S. Tice

I have been permanently disabled now for close to five years and am considered clinically depressed so I see a Psychologist every two weeks.  About six months ago, I let my doctor read an issue I had printed.  As a result the doctor was so amazed that he subscribed.  Today he has recommended MountainWings to over 100 people (not all patients).  Dick Burley, Grawn, MI

"What in the world?" indeed!  MountainWings is state of mind. A place where one may go to feel closer to the one who made him.  A place not completely of this world. A place where one may strive to become what he will be.  Bob.

There is no possible way to express my thanks for your issue Four Words..
I am 17 and have a child and I felt that the only way out of my pain was to die.
I have been seriously thinking about it for a loooooonnngg time. Four Words hit me so hard. Unbelievable.  I can't even begin to explain the impact. I am almost in tears. Thank you so so so much. I actually lost my breath when I read this and sent it to many of my friends.  Sarah.

I copy all the issues for my son and granddaughter to put in a notebook when I die.  Thank God for you and all your hard work, not to mention your insights.
I appreciate you.  Sometimes God does work in "Mysterious" Ways.  Secondly, since I became an avid "Morning Glory" and started my day with you, I find I'm not so negative in my outlook on life.  After my daughter was killed. I was stuck in what??? "A down-spin?"  I didn't even care.  Your daily inspirational pages give me what I need to get up and get motivated.   Dena Morton

So THANK YOU!  Through you, I am helping thousands feel good about themselves every morning!  Sincerely, Karen Kelly

Just want to say thank you, MountainWings.  My husband and I just opened a "Mom and Pop" restaurant and to help customers pass time while waiting for their food, I have printed off some of your newsletters.  Not only are they enjoying them, they are asking if they can take the newsletters.
You are making a difference.

My husband lost his job, I am losing my job, he now has a new and better job and I know I will have one also.  Part of the positive attitude we have maintained is due to the enlightening/positive messages found daily in the MountainWings.

DOES GOD E-MAIL? (subject in the e-mail to MountainWings)
Something really weird happened to me just now.  I'm having some marital difficulties and I was writing my wife an email.  The email turned really ugly and was really negative, pointing out all the bad and none of the good.  Then I got an email from your website and it was about a man and a bum and the bum makes the man realize that we all need something.  I have been looking for "something" all my life and people keep telling me about God.

Until now it has fallen on deaf ears but something about your email and it's timing, it was too perfect to be coincidence.  I have no idea how you got my name or knew that I was in need of inspiration.  I scrapped the negative email and wrote an apology instead.

For a long time, I have felt the need to let God into my life.  I've been fighting it though and now I'm feeling ready to let him in.  Please pray for me being successful in letting God into my life because I am scared.
Thank you.  Issue: The Bum

I was wondering why the last 3 e-mails were asking you to stop and listen.  It really made me think about my life.  I am so blessed and it's disturbing how people take the simple things for granted.  I would like to say thank you very much.  You really gave me a different outlook on things.

I have been on the internet about one month and have a lot to learn. but thank God, I found mountainwings.com.  It is such a fresh breath of air, with gentle words and deep wisdom..  It now goes hand-in-hand with my morning cup of coffee. I would not want to do without it, it inspires my thoughts and brings me smiles, and generally helps me to make my emotional life peaceful. thank you so much.

I just wished to pass along my heartfelt thanks for such an uplifting contribution to the internet.  I run internet businesses and daily my mail box is overflowing with offers,  business ideas, scams and schemes.  Today a friend from New Mexico sent me a copy of MountainWings and while this isn't the first time I've seen isolated inspirational messages, it is the first time that I've found a daily dose to remind me that life should be so much more than that headlong pursuit of making a buck.

Don't get me wrong, we all need that too, but its nice during a hectic business day to just pause and contemplate that life holds so much more.

I loved this one. This issue has really been a blessing to me, because I'm going through this right now.  I've had to let go of a loved one because he is not Christian, and what makes it harder is that we have 2 children together. May Christ bless you abundantly.  Issue:Think On These Things

This is a wonderful anecdote.  What makes it wonderful is not that you missed your appointment, but that you shared it and moved forward.
Too often, I make mistakes and shrivel up in a dark corner by myself.

I beat myself over and over until I get sick or slightly depressed.  It's nice to know that great men like yourself make mistakes, too.  It's even more comforting to know how to move past the mistake.  I, too, forget things.  I walked into a meeting a whole hour late the other day.  (Let me tell you, I walked into that meeting strong and wrong.  I had my water, notepad, reference materials, and everything.  I even called myself getting there a little early.  The meeting was at 1:30 and I arrived at 2:20 thinking it started at 2:30 and that I was getting there before everyone else.)

Everyone, (including my boss and the VP of another Fortune 100 company) looked at me like I was crazy.  I felt so low that I could've walked under a snake with a top hat on.  I'm a good employee, so, my boss shrugged it off and told me not to worry about it.  It's just nice to hear that I'm not an idiot!!  Thank you!!!  Issue: The Big Blooper

I've just received my daughter's report card and again she had A's & B's.  I found myself fusing @ her for not bringing those B's back up to A's.  She dropped to a B in Reading, Social Studies and Conduct.  I know she can do it easily, if she wanted to.  Did I even praise her for the A's that she made? NO! I focused on what she didn't do.  After reading this today, I'm hurt & ashamed. Parenting is the hardest of all jobs I've ever had in all my 45 years.  There's no class/seminars to take, but just go with your gut feeling, lots of prayer and I read my daily e-mail from MountainWings.com  I wish I could I get this on my home computer (on wk-ends).  But then I wouldn't be rushing to work on Monday. to play catch up.    God Bless you & your mission.  God Bless your family as you have truly blessed mine.  Issue: Dad Dee

This is hilarious, FIRMLY!. Pastor I know that was mighty rough, but thank God for the Holy Spirit, that always keeps us in check. I couldn’t help but think of my Daddy, an old, old school Baptist minister, he would think it to be a disgrace to even be near this kind of temptation. But temptation is all around us, Jamaica, Atlanta, everywhere.  But we are tempted when we are drown away by our lusts. But I know that a word will come from the Lord through you. Even at the risk of someone not believing that you did the right thing, (not even a peak) but if just one can hear and receive, then it's worth it all.

This story really touched my heart.  I know how it feels to lose a sibling.  I too lost a brother but he was older than I.  It really hurts but you have to remember that they are in a better place and that you will join them one day.  Thank you very much because I needed to read something like this today.  It is really helping me.  Issue: Patrick

Your reflection on illness, caregiver, and GARLIC.  Today, is worthwhile and perfectly timed for me.  My husband is battling cancer.  We often talk about times in the past when he cared for me...(after childbirth and after surgeries).  As for garlic, when my brother and I were little, our birth mother made garlic necklaces for us to ward off germs.

Sure, as we got older, we'd joke about the reason that worked was because nobody liked to be near us and that pungent garlic order.  But, I've since learned that garlic has many healing qualities.  So, our mother (a Croatian from Europe)...knew a lot more than we gave her credit for.  Issue: Babies Sick
